Tiffany started with me at home and drove to the hospital with us. She helped us recognize when it was time to get to the hospital. This was my 2nd birth, but that last hour or so at the hospital I had the most intense and fast contractions I had ever experienced. I started to lose my ability to relax, but through Tiffany's calm voice in my ear talking me back down and skilled massage therapist hands relieving my lower back pain, I was able to make it through. My husband also really appreciated being able to take bathroom breaks without me yelling at him not to leave LOL. 2 Prenatal Visits 

The first visit can be at your place or we can chose a place to meet. usually the 2nd is at your home around 36 weeks but doesn't have to be its totally up to you. I am flexible.

 1 one hour massage

I will include in your package 1 one hour massage. This is for you to relax and to get to know my touch better, so you're able to relax under my touch during labor. Not to mention that your muscles will be under a great amount of stress from the baby growing.

During labor  

I prefer that you call me when you think you are in labor, even if you do not yet need me. This gives me time to clear

my calendar for the next 24 hours and arrange for childcare. I can answer questions and make suggestions over the

phone; and we can decide if I should come to you then, or wait for further change. I usually need approximately one

hour to get to you from the time you ask me to come. We will also decide where to meet (home or hospital). Except for

extraordinary circumstances, I will remain with you throughout your labor and birth.

After The Birth

I usually remain with you for one or two hours after the birth, until you are comfortable and your family is ready for

quiet time together. During that time, I can help with initial breastfeeding. If needed more time I can help with going out to grab food and helping you move to your new room if your in a hospital.

 

Postpartum follow-up visit 

I will call you to set up a time to meet with you at home two weeks after birth if this is a good time if not we can move it out.

Prenatal, postnatal and general Massage outside of doula services: For 1 hour: $65.00 and 1 1/2 hour: $90.00

Tiffany has been my massage therapist for more than a year. I always look forward to seeing her. For this pregnancy we were not sure about using a doula since we already did it with our first and thought this time maybe we did not need to. I am so thankful that we decided to hire Tiffany as our doula. I honestly don't think I could have managed as well as I did without her. She was encouraging me and my husband throughout the whole process. She came to our house at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday and stayed with us till I delivered at 2:46 a.m. on Thursday. She did different massage techniques on my back to help with the discomfort every time I had a contraction and also helped me breath through them. she also asked questions on how I felt which helped determine when to leave for the hospital. We left at the right time and I got to the hospital when I was 7cm dilated. During active labor in the water she again massaged my back, gave me water throughout and taught me how to hum and move in the water to keep contractions going. and moving our baby down the canal. I am so thankful that she was there guiding me and my husband. It was a wonderful experience and Tiffany enhanced it greatly. It made me feel secure and encouraged. If we have a third baby, I am sure I can look forward to having her as a doula again.

As a Doula, I  Do Not:

Perform any clinical tasks

such as taking blood pressure, fetal heart checks or vaginal exams. I am there to provide only, physical comfort, emotional support, and facilitate communication between you and the staff.

Make decisions for you 

 I will help you get the information you need to make an informed decision. I will also remind you if there is a deviation from your birth plan.

Speak to the staff on your behalf

 I will discuss your concerns with you and suggest options; as well as encourage you to voice your opinions, questions and concerns to the staff.

Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience

This is your birth and not mine. Each birth has its on unique story.

Terms and Fees: 

  • I will make every effort to provide my services. Sometimes this is impossible (for example, rapid labor). If I am unable to attend your birth due to scheduling conflicts (more than one client in labor at a time), I ask that you find a back up doula. In most circumstances, the retaining fee is non-refundable. The retaining fee is a dual purpose fee: it ensures that all clients are serious about having a doula; and compensation for me for the time spent at prenatal visits, and with phone, email support, as well as being "on call." Additionally, failure to call a doula early enough in labor or at all, rapid labor, and unplanned cesarean birth are not reasons for a partial refund. As a doula, I am planning outings, trips and other functions around your due date, so I kindly request that you keep me well informed as things progress.

  • My Fee for the services are $800.00 to be paid as follows: minimum of 1/2 payment due when you select me as your doula (to hold your date), and the balance can be paid in small portions until you're 35 weeks gestation, then the remainder will be due at that time.
